Multiple Shipping Rates and Delivery Dates at Checkout

Good news for retailers! Shopify has introduced a new feature that allows you to show multiple shipping options and estimated delivery dates at checkout. You can now offer your customers different shipping rates, so they can choose the one that works best for them.

This feature can be set to automatically fetch all available shipping rates from your suppliers, or you can customize which rates are shown based on your store’s policies. It’s all about giving your customers more choices and making the checkout process even smoother.

File Picker Now Available on Variant Detail Page

Managing product images just got a lot easier! Shopify has added a unified file picker to the variant detail page in your admin panel. This means you can now access and select any image in your store while managing your product variants. It’s a quick and easy way to stay organized and make sure the right images are paired with the right variants.

Flow: New Tools for Managing Metaobjects

Shopify’s Flow has received some fantastic new features to help you manage data more easily. Now, with the new actions "Get metaobject entries" and "Get metaobject entry," you can store and retrieve data from metaobjects in your workflows.

For example, you could use a metaobject to create a fraud deny list and then have Flow check this list to take action, like sending an email alert or canceling an order. The new actions allow you to pull a list of metaobject entries or retrieve a single entry, making it simpler to manage your data and automate tasks.

Flow: Improved Workflow Run Details and Search

Shopify has made it easier to troubleshoot your workflows and find exactly what happened during a workflow run. Previously, it could be tough to know what was updated, like when a metafield value was changed. Now, with improved workflow run details, you can see exactly what data was provided to each action, helping you understand the outcome better.

For example, if you updated an order tag, you’ll now be able to see the tag name and other details in the workflow data. This update also includes an improved search feature, so you can search for specific data in your workflow steps, like an order ID. This is a big help when you're troubleshooting or just want to see how your workflows are performing.

To get started, you can filter workflow runs by "Includes text" to find the specific data you’re looking for. Keep in mind that you’ll need to search without punctuation, so for an order ID, search "124443" instead of the full URL.

That's it for this edition of Shopify updates! These features are designed to make managing your store more efficient, whether it's offering better shipping options, organizing images, or fine-tuning your workflows. Keep an eye out for more Makro Shopify Recaps coming soon!
